The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has announced a series of new security measures aimed at addressing a surge in violent crime across the country. Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley confirmed that additional funding will be allocated to policing technologies, community patrols, and intelligence-sharing operations.
The announcement comes after a recent spike in murders and armed robberies, prompting public concern. Caribbean leaders have expressed interest in strengthening regional cooperation to deal with cross-border criminal networks.
